Landscapes

I sketch en plein air and then develop these landscapes on the easel at home. Some paintings are done entirely en plein air. For me that is a difficult process; more ‘immediate’ techniques are required such as the cleaning of my brushes on each brush stroke to avoid muddy colours. Speed is also essential becasue of the changing skies and shadows; no time to contemplate!
